Mental Health in Fibromyalgia
摘要
Fibromyalgia is a chronic rheumatological syndrome characterized by musculoskeletal pain, chronic pain, and physical fatigue. People with fibromyalgia have a higher risk of developing depression, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorders. In this chapter, the psychosocial risk factors that are associated with mental health issues among people with fibromyalgia are discussed. These include childhood trauma, sexual dysfunction, medication use, and other factors. The chapter concludes with a brief discussion of both psychological and physical therapies that might contribute to the improvement of the mental health of people with fibromyalgia.
