Hemophilia is a chronic bleeding disorder where the blood does not clot in the patient who is suffering from the disease. The person with hemophilia lacks the clotting factor in their blood and as a result any injury/trauma or a spontaneous bleed in joints and muscles prevents the blood to clot. It is a sex-linked disorder and mostly affects males than females. The disorder has a significant impact on patients’ quality of life and their attitudes and behaviors in dealing with the disorder. This chapter discusses the young people with hemophilia and their knowledge about the disease, attitude toward the disorder, and impacts on the behavior while managing their life with a chronic disorder.
