Numerical Study on Heat Transfer Augmentation of Vectored Annular Jet in Laminar Flow Condition
摘要
In this work, we conduct a numerical study to determine whether or not an angled exit jet or a vectored annular jet may improve heat transfer across the impinging surface under an annular nozzle. After the first verification, three different jet exit angles for the same flow condition are investigated. It is discovered that the vectored jets improve heat transmission in comparison to the standard annular jet. When compared to a regular annular jet, an angled jet’s peak value is found farther downstream. The research shows that vectored annular jets improve total heat transfer by more than 50% compared to orthogonally impinging annular jets, which might circumvent the drawbacks of utilizing annular jets instead of traditional circular jets.
