摘要

The rising surface temperature of the land is one sign that the climate is changing. Rainfall intensity will have an effect on this phenomenon. This phenomenon will be affected to the increasing rainfall intensity. Increasing the rainfall intensity will affect the surface runoff. Consequently, the water level at the channel will increase too. The flood will occur if the channel capacity is insufficient to carry the increasing surface runoff entering the channel. This phenomenon occurred at the Jatiroto watershed in East Java Province, Indonesia. The flood occurred in December 2018. The maximum land surface temperature increased by 8.5 °C from 1995 to 2018. The daily maximum rainfall was increased from 80.5 mm to 123.48 mm. The runoff discharge was increased from 139.15 m3/hr. to 147.72 m3/hr. From the research result, it can be concluded that increasing land surface temperature is affected to increasing the surface runoff discharge.
