Smart University: Solutions, Advantages, Challenges of Utilizing IoT in Smart Education Domain

In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted a lot of attention because of its ability to be applied effectively in many fields. IoT applications bring many benefits such as smart cities, smart electricity networks, smart traffic and transportation, smart homes, smart factories and products, smart healthcare, smart agriculture, smart education, etc. Applying IoT in the educational environment helps improve the quality and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Using the literature review method, this article studies the concepts of IoT, IoT devices & applications in the smart education domain as well as the role of IoT in smart universities. The study also analyzes the advantages and challenges in the process of implementing IoT.
