Recent Results for Delayed Chemostat Models with Non-constant Nutrient Supply

We survey some recent results concerning two models for a one-species chemostat with periodic nutrient input and a discrete delay in the growth. We shall focus on the non-autonomous periodic case and, specifically, on the problem of finding nontrivial periodic solutions. Moreover, we shall briefly describe some of the open questions related to this interesting and challenging problem.
