A Top-Level Systemic Naming of the Organisation of Nature

Within any theory it is important to harmonise all the concepts. This is true of the theory of evolution, the theory of levels of organisation and, of course, the O-theory. One way of ensuring that the concepts used fit together logically is to work from the bottom up, as was done by building the operator hierarchy from the level of fundamental particles, after which operators of increasing complexity were formed by dual closure. A complementary goal is to create a consistent use of concepts. This was pursued by concentrating first on the most general concepts and refining them gradually. The most general concepts usually have a place in a so-called top-level ontology. The top levels deserve special attention because they provide a context for all more restrictive concepts. Although the O-theory owes its name to operators, this is not the most fundamental concept in the theory. Instead, that place is taken by the pair of terms known as system and object. So in what broader conceptual framework can we imagine the O-theory being embedded?
