摘要

This chapter provides fundamentals of magnetic nanostructures’ static and dynamic responses with particular attention to shape anisotropyShape anisotropy. The chapter is divided into two parts: The first part presents the static behavior of a linear chain of interacting nanomagnetsNanomagnets (NMs) with coupling along their major and minor axes, starting with single nanomagnets as the building blocks. We show that the static magnetic responses can be tuned with the lattice arrangements of the nanomagnetsNanomagnets. An array of square spin ice is formed afterward by combining the interacting nanomagnets, which are coupled along both major and minor axes. We extend the study to kagome and triangular artificial spin icesArtificial spin ice (ASI) by tuning the angle between the NMs. In the second part, dynamic investigations revealed the selectivity of the microwave operating frequency range, systematically controlled by tuning the lattice arrangements, film thickness, and direction of the applied bias magnetic field. The discussion presented in this chapter will serve as a helpful resource and reference material for researchers and students working in magnetic nanostructures.
