Plant Epitranscriptomics
摘要
Beyond the DNA sequence itself, the regulation of gene expression involves a complex interplay between various mechanisms. Epitranscriptomics, a rapidly evolving field, sheds light on the dynamic and reversible modifications occurring on messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules. These modifications, often mediated by enzymatic processes, introduce chemical alterations to RNA bases, influencing mRNA stability, structure, and ultimately, its interaction with the translational machinery. Deciphering the plant epitranscriptomic code and its role in cellular processes holds immense potential for understanding gene regulation patterns and enhancing agronomic traits.
