The final chapter of The Brew Deal begins by recapping some of the book’s key ideas—the celebratory return of beer on April 7, how brewery entrepreneurs succeeded in bringing the US brewing industry back from the brink, and the economic impact that beer’s return had in helping combat the Great Depression. The chapter then turns to how the return of legal beer during the final months of Prohibition (when other forms of alcohol were still forbidden) positively impacted the brewing industry and helped beer return to its perch as the alcoholic beverage of choice in the United States.
