Security Challenges and Solutions in 5G-Enabled IoT Networks

The advent of 5G technology promises to revolutionize Internet of Things (IoT) networks by offering enhanced connectivity, lower latency, and increased data rates. However, this transformation also presents a myriad of security challenges that can potentially undermine the gains achieved by this integration. This paper delves into the core security issues faced by 5G-enabled IoT networks and proposes solutions to mitigate these challenges. Through a rigorous examination of current literature and analysis of real-world vulnerabilities, this paper aims to identify and categorize security challenges in 5G-enabled IoT networks while researching a comprehensive framework for securing IoT devices and the data security landscape, and pointing towards future directions for secure IoT deployments in a 5G era.
