No Podcast Ever Gets Made: A Case Study and Methodology for Human-AI Collaborative Storytelling Podcasts

This paper presents a process for collaborative storytelling involving a human writer and an AI language model. The approach encompasses prompts, narrative techniques, and production steps. Additionally, a case study is provided where a human writer engages in free-form narrative writing, seeking consent from the AI model and ensuring the model remembers relevant plot points for later parts of the story. The paper also outlines production flows for using AI models in the development of a sonic-based work, including voice-over and music generation. The final output of the case study is an almost entirely AI-generated radio play, ready for publishing in podcast format.
