摘要

Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) offers a fresh perspective on the intricate connections between the nervous and immune systems. Its primary objective is to explore the mechanisms that link the immune system, neuronal processes, and nutrition to promote a healthy life and effective stress management. Another vital aspect of PNI research involves investigating the interplay between behaviors and health in the context of nutrition, immune responses, and neuronal mechanisms. Studies conducted in both human subjects and animal models have unveiled the intricate web of responses within this complex network. Researchers have also shed light on the clinical implications of stress and inflammation through the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis, which serves as a bridge between the nervous system and immune responses. Furthermore, PNI science has sought to elucidate how stress and stress-related diseases impact life quality and health management. In recent times, there has been a growing emphasis on health, with a particular focus on nutrition, psychological factors, behaviors, and stress-related aspects. Solid nutritional evidence plays a pivotal role in supporting physiological functions and overall health. Efforts have been dedicated to understanding and integrating the complex interplay among behavioral, physiological, and psychological factors in the context of health and life quality. It is crucial to acknowledge that the immune system is intricately interconnected with both physiological and psychological mechanisms. Consequently, the activities of the neuronal, endocrine, and immune systems can mutually influence each other through the release of hormonesHormone, cytokines, and neuropeptides. Furthermore, the HPA axis collaborates with these mechanisms to enhance health management and promote a higher quality of life. The comprehensive body of evidence strongly reinforces the significance of PNI in shedding light on the relationships between nutrients, stress, and life quality. Effective control of neuroinflammation, the preservation of brain functions, and the maintenance of a well-balanced diet are essential components of a healthy and fulfilling life. This strategic approach holds immense importance throughout one's lifetime, contributing to effective stress management and an enhanced quality of life.
