Stratification in Immunopsychiatry
摘要
It is necessary and essential to incorporate current knowledge into clinical practice in order to improve treatmentTreatment, especially in psychiatry as a field permeated by neuroscience and psychological, philosophical, and sociological approaches. Over the past few decades, the interactions between the nervous and immune systems have been extensively researched. Great efforts have been made to establish psychoneuroimmunology as a term and concept. However, the more precise and narrow term immunopsychiatryImmunopsychiatry has a basis for its use, considering the introduction of the paradigm that the immune system could subdue the brain and control behavior. These new findings help determine the subpopulations and specific treatment of patients with mental disorders and concurrently observed immunological disturbances. This chapter focuses on the need for objectification in immunopsychiatryImmunopsychiatry by establishing biomarkers that are valid and accessible at different stages of the disorder, taking into account more complex conditions with concomitant comorbidity and adverse effects of the applied therapy. The incorporation of big data analytics and modern technologies should be the next step in creating a new therapeutic algorithm guided by immunopsychiatryImmunopsychiatry.
