Too Big to Fail: Democratic Progressive Neoliberal Tendencies
摘要
Obama enters the presidency at an exciting moment. Not only America’s first Black president, he also utilizes language of hope and change in the midst of the Great Recession. However, Obama continues the heterodox. He does this most apparently in his approach to healthcare, in which all people have healthcare, but they obtain this through a marketplace from which insurance companies’ profit. This chapter outlines how neoliberal application and thought is intertwined with progressive liberalism in contemporary politics.
