The New Democratic Society

  • Riley Clare Valentine

摘要

Kennedy’s presidency is a brief interlude in the progressive liberal era. He advances some interpretations of the essentially contested concepts that will go on to be fundamental to neoliberalism. The heterodox which will go on to be more visible after Reagan’s presidency briefly emerges in Kennedy. However, Johnson’s Great Society continues Roosevelt’s expansive New Deal progressive liberalism. Johnson expands progressive liberalism and focuses upon racial inequity.
