Experimental Study of Vibration Control Using Autoparametric Vibration Absorber
摘要
A tuned mass damper, also known as a dynamic damper, is often used for passive vibration control of a structure. The damper incorporates an additional mass that is tuned to the natural frequency of the structure in question. This type of vibration control device has a significant damping effect at the natural frequency of the structure but is subject to the resonance of the new vibration system created by the additional mass. With the goal of eliminating this unwanted resonance, we have been pursuing research on a new vibration control device using parametric excitation characteristics. We developed the vibration control device consisting of a pendulum connected to a torsion bar spring and confirmed its effect through vibration experiments and response analysis.
