What Is the Omni-Assistant?
摘要
This chapter amalgamates the three technologies discussed in the previous chapter, namely artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and the mechanized consultant, into a single product that we call the omni-assistant. We propose that such a product, or its equivalent, may become as ubiquitous as smartphones are today, while also discussing potential barriers to its inevitability. We delve into specific properties of the omni-assistant, maturity, versability (ability to influence) and independency. We also examine the public reaction to this technology from the social, psychological, and cognitive perspectives, and review several areas that the omni-assistant technology must address, such as privacy and trust.
