Exploring the Future
摘要
This chapter delves into the factors leading to the inevitability of technology, its onset, and the interplay between inevitability and other characteristics that may indicate a technology’s inevitability, which we identify through thought experiments. These characteristics are maturity, independence, and the ability to influence. We also review methods for future research on and using scenario forecasting, which is based on the creation of different types of scenarios (possible, probable, desirable, and improbable) that we explore in the continuation of the book with respect to the education system.
