This paper describes a simple method of risk assessment for landslides. The study area is landslide-prone in the northern part of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. In creating a landslide risk map from a landslide hazard map, the authors used a matrix diagram as a risk analysis method to classify risks by focusing on the relationship between the degree of landslide hazard and the number of houses free from landslides. The authors will introduce the activities involved in the process leading up to risk assessment and a simple method from creating a landslide survey sheet to creating a landslide risk map. It is a part of the activities of the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

摘要
