Research on Dysmobility

The objectives of this chapter are to present the results of the main scientific investigations that have been published using the concept of Dysmobility (since its first appearance in the scientific literature in 2004), identify weaknesses in the research that has been published through critical appraisal, and propose the direction of future research. For this purpose, a search was carried out for academic theses and articles published in indexed journals, through Google Scholar and the Spanish/Latin American systems LILACS, REDALYC, and SciELO. The publications found are summarised and presented in five categories. The main difficulties encountered are then summarised. Finally, a method is proposed using a conceptual map of Dysmobility (drawing on both the concept of Dysmobility and the triaxial diagnostic method) to identify what future research priorities should be.
