  • Christine Foss

摘要

When diving into athletic hip injuries, the practitioner must first understand the basic components of a quality hip examination. The importance of a thorough history is the first step in attaining the correct diagnosis. Hip ranges of motion, palpation skills, and moving into postural static examinations are discussed as well as the importance of each component. Lastly, this chapter covers functional assessment of the hip and some potential techniques that can be used to attain a good amount of data on how the athlete’s kinetic chain functions for optimal performance and injury prevention.
