Relocating Virtual Movements: Quantization of Affective Waves Through Indeterminate Hearts

This chapter seeks to draw fruitful insights from pragmatic-quantic thinking to address interdisciplinary puzzles pertaining to social movement studies and emotions researches in philosophy, history, psychology, and related spheres. Extending on philosophical precepts of affective (heart-world) monism, the pragmatist quantal argument is advanced along these lines: what is enfolded, emoted across the inner psychical circumplex of public hearts resonates sentimentally with what is unfolded, affectualized beyond the outer physical circles of social movements. The specific intersection of public emotions, transnational movements, and quantum researches poses cross-scientific challenges for international studies and relevant scholarship. Even though some prospects for quantizing international emotion studies were realized, key conceptual conjunctions remain unaddressed, unexplored, and untheorized. Against this meta-theoretical background, the chapter sketches a pragmatist quantal framework for studying transnational affect in cases of movement-to-movement and/or public-to-public relations. By doing so, the hidden quantic implications of emotion-mobilization nexus are unveiled. These conceptual contributions are important for theorizing co-extensive implications of emotional entanglements and sentimental mobilizations beyond world spheres. Quite exceptionally, socio-physical vectors and psycho-social waves of transnational mobilizations are energized through sentimental configurations. That is to say, affective energies are key to understand deeper dynamics molding thru the psychical domain of transnational affairs.
