The Re-emergence of Emergence

The third chapter is closely connected to the second, as it forms an integral part of the historical analysis of the status quaestionis, and has been developed independently for only two reasons: (1) because it wants to highlight the systematic novelty of the study of emergence, precisely with its re-emergence in the common interest of the various disciplines involved, to complete, as it is possible, the analysis of the debate regarding the development of the concept of emergence as it has also been improved with the contemporary scientifical contributions; (2) because it intends to deal with these topics facing such an effervescent and dynamic discussion, passing from the diachronic to the synchronic method of historical analysis.
