摘要

The development of the vertebrate heart relies on the intricate coordination of four major embryonic regions: the first heart field (FHF), the second heart field (SHF), the cardiac neural crest (CNC), and the proepicardial organ (PEO). Each of these regions plays a crucial role in cardiac development, governed by complex regulatory mechanisms and precise timing. This chapter elucidates how these regions interact to form the final structure of the heart in relationship with the developmental timeline of human embryology.
