Changes in the Support System of the Russian Agro-Industrial Complex

In this article, we consider the role and importance of state support in the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex. The paper analyzes the special conditions for providing state support to farmers who need additional financial resources to grow and expand their activities. Unlike loans, these types of sponsorship do not require a refund, which makes them more attractive for aspiring entrepreneurs and those who do not have sufficient credit history or guarantees to obtain a large bank loan. Grant financial assistance to small and medium-sized businesses in agriculture is provided by the support system of government, private foundations and non-profit organizations. Subsidies are provided to both associations and individual entrepreneurs. We concluded, that the agro-industrial complex is mainly supported in small businesses, agricultural insurance, elite seed production, livestock breeding, milk production, fruit and berry plantations, beef cattle breeding, wool production and grain processing. The changes in the support of the Russian agro-industrial complex are aimed at stimulating the development of agrarian business, increasing its competitiveness and strengthening Russia's position in the global agricultural market.
