Study of Possible Directions for the Sustainable Development of Small Innovative Enterprises

The study of strategic planning documents and statistical reporting of the Russian Federation in the field of scientific and technological development led to the conclusion that the pace of its development is insufficient, especially in small innovative entrepreneurship. Therefore, studying the problems of further sustainable development of small innovative enterprises remains relevant in current conditions. Based on literary sources and the example of an existing small-scale investment enterprise, the reasons for their low performance are considered and the possibility of increasing it within the framework of a related diversification strategy is studied. For small enterprises specializing in the production of innovative products for agricultural producers, a strategic direction of development was proposed - the sale of equipment for the production of innovative goods, which practically corresponds to the sale of technology. An example of identifying potential buyers on the market of organic preparations was presented for the production of crop products and determining sales volumes. The features of efficiency assessment for small-scale investment enterprises of the second strategic direction of development are revealed. They are related to the need to organize contract manufacturing or production outsourcing of the ODM type, hire additional workers with the qualifications of sales engineers, a longer period to reach design capacity, and invest primarily in replenishing working capital. Its mandatory stages and features of the corresponding calculations at each of them are determined.
