Enhancing Learning in Family Business Management Through Art: Integrating Creative Methodologies in Higher Education
摘要
Learning in higher education has evolved significantly, especially in disciplines such as Business Administration and Management (BAM). The integration of innovative and multidisciplinary methodologies is crucial to foster critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving abilities in students. An emerging methodology that has demonstrated a notable impact on learning is the use of art as a pedagogical tool. Art not only offers an avenue for creative expression, but also facilitates deep understanding and critical analysis of complex concepts. In the optional subject “Family Business Management” of the BAM degree, the application of artistic techniques provides a new perspective that transforms the educational process and student learning. This transformation manifests itself on several levels, from improving theoretical understanding to developing practical and emotional skills necessary for effective management of family businesses. The family business presents unique characteristics that require an integrative and holistic educational approach, where art can play a crucial role. This chapter proposes that art enriches and transforms the way students perceive and address the challenges in managing family businesses. The combination of theory and practice based on art seeks to prepare future business management professionals with a more complete and nuanced understanding of family business environments. In the following sections, the specific benefits of using art in “Family Business Management” education will be explored in detail, including case studies and evidence of how this methodology improves students’ ability to manage family businesses effectively., promoting comprehensive training that covers technical competencies and interpersonal and emotional skills.
