Summary and Conclusions
摘要
The Earth’s crisis of habitability is a must of the capitalist mode of social reproduction based on commodity production and labor exploitation, so this crisis can only worsen and cannot be overcome within the limits of this mode of production. One of the main failures in dealing with this crisis is epistemological. Current approaches to the crisis are dualistic and based on positivism and idealism because this is the dominant epistemological view in bourgeois society. A monist cosmovision based on dialectics and materialism, such as that of many scientists of the former Soviet Union in the second half of the twentieth century, is the correct epistemological paradigm to address the ongoing crisis of Earth's habitability.
