摘要

The current study investigates the effect of process parameter combinations utilised in abrasive water jet drilling of AZ91D/ZrB2 composite which create small deep holes of 2 mm diameter. The variable parameters include abrasive flow rate, standoff distance, along with a constant water jet pressure of 350 MPa. The hole geometry properties such as cylindricity, circularity, diametric error, and perpendicularity of the drilled surface at both the entry and exit sections were investigated. The data show that the maximum hole diameter was 2.133 mm. Differences in various hole characteristics are noticed with varying abrasive flow rate.
