摘要

In recent years, laser drilling research has been a promising metal-cutting method on hard materials like Ti6Al4V alloy. However, it is required to fix the optimum values for various cutting parameters involved in the metal cutting process to get a better surface finish on the work piece and a long tool life. This research used the titanium alloy of grade 5 (Ti6Al4V) to check the circularity in the hole drilled on it. Material pull-out depends upon the material properties when associated with input parameters. The research aims to check the hole circularity of drilled hole of the material using a laser drilling process. A CO2 laser of 100-Watt power was used to drill a 1 mm thick and 0.8 mm diameter hole in Ti6Al4V titanium alloy material. Under ambient conditions, drilled the holes. The experiment studies are calculated based on the L9 Orthogonal array. To minimize the machining parameters, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) error and error percentage of the analysis has done. The ANN procedures focused on a back propagation route. The S/N value reflects the influence of process parameters on the hole's accuracy. The optimum values of cutting parameters for getting a with less circularity error are a cutting at 300 mm/s speed, 90 W power and 20 kHz low frequency.
