The Role of Forensic Medical Examiner Toward Feminicide

As mentioned in its definition, forensic and legal medicine is auxiliary to the administration of justice, in addition to the fact that currently in Mexico, with the new penal system, the doctor works based on the scientific method, with protocols, investigations, procedure manuals that aim to standardize their actions, and the steps to follow in the investigation, as well as a multi- and interdisciplinary work in the investigation of femicide, with other forensic sciences. This research aims to answer questions such as: What are the contributions of the Latin American protocol and the Protocol of Investigation of the Crime of Feminicide of the Prosecutor’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosi, which allow optimal results in the actions of the forensic medical expert in cases of Feminicide? What techniques and methods does the forensic medical examiner develop in his/her investigative function in a Feminicide based on the forensic medical protocols? As well as to contribute what, to the experience and the investigations carried out, is required for a complete investigation and thus comply with the objective that forensic medicine has.
