On the Planning and Application of BIM Technology in Building Water Supply and Drainage Information Systems

In the construction water supply and drainage industry, BIM technology has been widely adopted and has significant cost-effective advantages. This article will conduct detailed analysis and research on this technology based on actual engineering cases, and elaborate on the characteristics and significance of BIM technology in the construction process of construction projects; then this article will study the aspects of system modeling, data collection and parameter processing, design a BIM-based drainage system, and conduct performance testing of the system; finally, through the above analysis and research, conclusions will be drawn. The results are as follows: the system’s response capability test values for water level, flow rate and pressure are between 90 and 99%. This ensures that the water supply and drainage system has strong adaptability and resistance to interference during construction. The system’s performance capabilities for indicators such as drainage speed, water level control and discharge effects are as high as 89% and as low as 81%. This shows that the system has good comprehensive flood control capabilities and can comprehensively evaluate flood control capabilities. It is hoped that the research in this article can further improve the efficiency and quality of the building water supply and drainage industry and promote its sustainable development.
