Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the field of education, making teaching and learning more efficient and effective. From intelligent tutoring systems to automatic essay writing, AI technologies are simplifying the work of teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students. Despite some initial skepticism, research has shown that the use of AI in education is steadily improving, thanks to the development of various virtual assistance applications. At Aliko Dangote University, Wudil, students have varying perceptions and habits when it comes to the use of artificial intelligence in education. A mixed method of research was employed to assess these perceptions and habits. While there was no significant difference found between genders and ages in terms of general perception and usage of AI in education, there was a significant difference between different levels of education in terms of perceived usage and digital ethics literacy. Overall, the use of artificial intelligence in education is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning, improving knowledge acquisition, and simplifying the educational process for both students and teachers. As technology continues to advance, it is important for educators and students alike to embrace these new tools and adapt to the changing landscape of education.
