The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into engineering education is an evolving area that promises to transform teaching and learning. This study examines the literature on the use of AI in engineering education to understand its current state. For this, a systematic literature review was conducted and the selected papers were analysed through an inductive approach of content analysis. It is highlighted that most of the articles presents practical applications of cases, evidencing a scarcity of theoretical studies. This study also evidenced the need for more AI research in engineering education, with a focus on sustainability to promote more comprehensive education.

摘要

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into engineering education is an evolving area that promises to transform teaching and learning. This study examines the literature on the use of AI in engineering education to understand its current state. For this, a systematic literature review was conducted and the selected papers were analysed through an inductive approach of content analysis. It is highlighted that most of the articles presents practical applications of cases, evidencing a scarcity of theoretical studies. This study also evidenced the need for more AI research in engineering education, with a focus on sustainability to promote more comprehensive education.
