This research aimed to evaluate which technologies are currently being planned or implemented to modernize applications and address the growing need for logistical immediacy among logistics service providers in São Paulo, Brazil. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a multiple case study with operators selected through convenience sampling. The findings indicate that initial steps are being taken towards the adoption of disruptive technologies, emphasizing the importance of cloud computing in a context still heavily reliant on internal technology infrastructures (on-premises) or data centers. The contributions of this study are significant, as both logistical immediacy and application modernization are still nascent topics, offering new theoretical insights and practical implications for organizations that need to address these challenges.
