Universities currently face the imperative of showcasing their social and environmental practices and research to the community. Hence, this case study aims to assess the social and environmental impacts arising from organic waste composting practices within the university, employing the SROI methodology. This research adopts a mixed-method approach, utilizing proxy variables and both primary and secondary sources. Through these inputs, a characterization of the involved stakeholders was conducted, alongside mapping the project's inputs and outputs. The findings underscore the positive impacts of composting on waste reduction, the effective implementation of Industry 4.0 technology (IoT), and the significance of the SROI indicator in quantifying the value generated concerning university investment. Such endeavors are integral to investigative processes aligned with the principles of responsible research and innovation (RRI).

摘要
