Conclusions: Relation Between the RAEM and Law

This concluding chapter revisits the Relative Extended Acculturation Model to synthesize the book’s findings on the interplay between law, institutions, and migrant acculturation. By examining the model’s components, the chapter elucidates how legal and institutional factors shape both host society and migrant group orientations, as well as their intergroup dynamics. It further explores the impact of these factors on various spheres of migrant psychosocial functioning. The chapter extends beyond the model’s framework to offer broader insights into the complex relationship between law, culture, and migration.
