Conclusions

This work presents a spectroscopic and photometric analysis of Type Ia Supernovae (SNe Ia) using the SNfactory spectrophotometric dataset. The analysis focuses on the color-magnitude intercept calibration (CMAGIC) technique; specifically, a new quantity describing the “bump size”, \(\omega _{XY}\) of a given SN’s CMAGIC diagram, is defined. Its physical and cosmological implications are examined. This chapter reviews the primary conclusions of the analysis in this dissertation, and concludes the thesis by discussing suggestions for future work.
