摘要

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the ability to perform human-like functions. The use of AI in education has had a substantial influence. In the twenty-first century, the amalgamation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various areas of the education sector has emerged as a revolutionary catalyst, providing a plethora of benefits that overhaul the global learning ecosystem. This collaboration signifies a symbiotic partnership between technology and culture, expanding its influence both within and beyond the confines of departments in educational institutions. Intelligent tutoring resources foster personalised learning pathways, and using data-driven analytics bestows a more tailored learning experience for students. The utilisation of artificial intelligence technology not only simplifies administrative procedures but also makes education smooth-running and well-organised in the transmission of knowledge in educational institutions. Moreover, it also provides instructors with innovative tools for educators to cater to diverse learning needs. This chapter uses a qualitative textual analysis methodology to explore the AI-driven education system in the following selected works: The Diamond Age: Or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson, The Gate to Women's Country by Heri S. Tepper and The Circle by Dave Eggers aligning with the values of Sustainable Development goals. AI-driven solutions facilitate remote education, hence increasing access ability for individuals who often stumble across geographical or financial constraints. By doing so, AI can be congruous with Sustainable Development Goal 10, which aims to pare down inequalities in the education sector. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education plays a crucial role in eliminating gender inequalities by stimulating inclusiveness and ensuring equal opportunities. This promotes Sustainable Development Goal 5 and nurtures diversity and empowerment in the educational sector. This study aims to examine the several advantages of AI in education and its substantial contributions to the attainment of three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), and reduced inequality (SDG 10). AI applications improve and redefine traditional educational methods. Educational institutions formulate strategic plans using AI to improve curriculum, fostering holistic development and practical skills, thus bridging the gap between privileged and underserved communities. Ultimately, the amalgamation of AI in the education sector helps to impart knowledge that goes beyond theoretical comprehension and is geared towards practical implementation, problem-solving, and real-life situations.
