A Drawing Time Reduction Method Considering Object Occlusions for Metaverse
摘要
In recent years, there has been a growing focus on Virtual Reality (VR) spaces. The construction of such VR spaces typically relies on publicly available object data. However, as the size of the VR space and the number of objects increase, the duration required for acquiring the necessary data for drawing the user’s field of view extends. Therefore, in this study, we propose a drawing time reduction method considering object occlusions for VR space. The visual representation presented on user terminals typically corresponds to a field-of-view image from the user’s perspective in the VR space. The proposed approach reduces drawing time by selectively acquiring and displaying data only for objects visible within this field-of-view image. Experimental results demonstrated its efficiency, particularly in scenarios with dense objects.
