Proposal of a State Diagram-Based Programming Paradigm for Embedded Devices

A programming paradigm dedicated to embedded devices has been proposed, on the basis of the concept of a visual programming language Islay. Islay uses the paradigm of state diagram to define the behavior of a program, unlike concept of structural programming which has been adopted by most of other programming languages. In addition to that, we preliminarily implemented the basic features based on this idea that runs on Raspberry Pi pico, by which the feasibility of the proposed paradigm has been proved.
