Differences in Psychological Impact of Slander on Social Media According to Coping Type

In recent years, slander on social media has increased in Japan. Slander victims have increased over the years, and most victims find it stressful. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying attribute differences in psychological impact of slander and the coping types that reduce the effects of slander damage. A questionnaire with items about slander victimization and the Brief Scale for Coping Profile was administered to entertainment workers, with χ-square tests for gender and occupational differences, and t-tests for age differences and coping type. The results showed no significant differences in gender, age, occupation, or coping type when reacting to slander.
