摘要

This study investigates the comparable impacts of yoga therapy on both student-athletes and non-athletes, aiming to fill a research gap regarding the varied effects of yoga therapy across different demographic groups. Through the utilization of text-mining and Chi-square methodologies, a total of 109 university students aged between 18 to 22 years participated in a single session of yoga therapy. The results of the study indicate that there were no significant differences observed between student-athletes and non-athletes concerning their post-session experiences. This was assessed across nine distinct keywords encompassing stress, relaxation, spiritual awareness, concentration, health, effects, breathing, self, and body. Despite the absence of statistical significance, the findings hint at a potential trend towards differentiation, underscoring the importance of further exploring the long-term impacts of yoga therapy across diverse populations. This exploration is critical for not only enhancing our understanding of yoga’s effectiveness but also for tailoring its application to cater to the unique needs of various demographic groups, ensuring its maximized efficacy and relevance in promoting holistic well-being.
