Analysis of 3D Network Structure of Capillaries in Liver

Identifying the actual capillary network within the liver is crucial for advancing medical science, as it provides insights into the liver’s growth and the development of its intricate internal structure. Although liver capillaries create a distinctive 3D network, the mechanism remains incompletely understood. To clarify this mechanism, it is essential to accurately identify the actual capillary network in the liver. Previous studies have manually observed a 3D skeletonized capillary network in a small area due to the substantial time and effort required for visualizing the 3D capillary network over a larger area. In this paper, we analyze a 3D skeletonized capillary network in a wide area of a rat liver by using the visualizing method that we had developed.
