One-Anastomosis Gastric Bypass Technique and Indications
摘要
In this chapter, the history of the one-anastomosis gastric bypass was reviewed as it was first performed in 1997. More recently, the operation has been recognized by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and it has been increasingly adopted by many metabolic and bariatric surgeons worldwide. The chapter discusses the surgical technique of the operation in detail and outlines the patient’s selection, indications, and contraindications for this procedure, as well as the short-term and long-term complications and considerations. In conclusion, the efficacy, safety, and outcome of the OAGB surgery have been reviewed.
