Partial nephrectomy remains the preferred treatment option for clinical T1a renal masses when intervention is indicated. According to AUA guidelines, a minimally invasive approach is recommended when it would not compromise oncologic, functional, or perioperative outcomes [1]. In 2018, the da Vinci® single-port (SP) surgical system was approved to perform urologic procedures including partial nephrectomy. Initial multi-institutional comparative studies between SP and multi-port robotic-assisted partial nephrectomy have shown similar perioperative outcomes [2, 3]. In this chapter, we aim to describe the technique of robotic partial nephrectomy utilizing the SP robotic platform, including both the transperitoneal and retroperitoneal approaches.
