This chapter is intended for use as an instructional description of robotic-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty, including the preoperative planning, intraoperative steps, and peri-/postoperative management with special attention to the technical considerations involved in performing robotic-assisted pyeloplasty. A review of literature since the inception of robotic pyeloplasty as compared to open and laparoscopic pyeloplasty has noted advantages of shorter suturing time, improved learning curve, improved visualization, precise flap development, and ureter realignment.
