After 1962, film production undoubtedly became a cultural focal point. Most of the Algerian filmmakers who had trained during the war joined the state film company, harboring dreams of achieving illustrious careers akin to those of Hollywood. Simultaneously, French national TV established a channel in Algiers, training numerous sound and photography technicians, music composers, set designers, and directors. Algerian Radio Television inherited an entire generation of highly skilled professionals, resulting in robust production capabilities, in contrast to the cinema sector, which relied heavily on foreign expertise.
