Energy Consumption Forecasting Using Time Series Analysis Methods

Developing technology depending on the expectations of people increases the demand for energy. In addition, it is predicted that the need for energy will reach even higher levels with the increasing population. However, with small measures that can be taken in energy consumption, more efficient use of existing energy can be achieved. In particular, the excess energy consumed in households can be reduced by individual measures. In this study, ML algorithms are used to estimate the consumption in the next periods by considering the energy data consumed in a house located in Kecioren district of Ankara city According to the results obtained, the Time Series ARIMA model was used and it was observed that it gave good results in predicting future data using past data. In the future, it is thought that the proposed model will be applied to businesses with larger energy consumption and thus contribute to energy efficiency.
